Honda Motor Co. President and CEO Takeo Fukui at 2008 NAIAS

Detroit, January 13, 2008 - Honda Motor Co. president and CEO Takeo Fukui, speaking at the 2008 North American International Auto Show, announced that Acura will introduce the new i-DTEC clean diesel engine to the North American market in 2009. The i-DTEC engine reduces noxious exhaust emissions while boosting power and fuel efficiency. The engine meets the ultra-stringent U.S. EPA Tier 2 Bin 5 emission standards without the on-board storage of urea.
