Acura Integra Proves That Style, Performance and Value Equals Fun

As the top-selling automobile in its category for four consecutive years; the Acura Integra continues to lead the competition by providing sporty performance, excellent quality and great value to create the ultimate in a fun-to-drive-package.

The performance-oriented Acura Integra is now available in three Sports Coupe and Sports Sedan models- LS, GS and GS-R. For 1999 several additional standard features are included to increase value.

For increased luxury, the 1999 Integra LS adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, larger diameter 15-inch alloy wheels and a refined suspension for more sporty handling. In addition, leather seating is now standard on all GS-R models.

The Integra line of sports coupes and sedans are equipped with a complete list of standard, comfort and convenience items, including a tilt-adjustable steering column, power windows and door mirrors and a six-speaker AM/FM/CD music system. All three models also include a high-capacity air conditioning system and power moon roof as standard equipment.

To provide the Integra with quick response and excellent acceleration, LS and GS models come equipped with a spirited 1.8-liter, 140-horsepower, DOHC, 16-valve engine coupled to a five-speed manual or an optional electronically-controlled four-speed automatic transmission.

The GS-R features a 1.8-liter, 170-horsepower, DOHC, 16-valve high-performance engine equipped with Acura's innovative Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) system. Intergra GS-R models are available exclusively with a performance-oriented, close-ratio 5-speed manual transmission.

At the heart of the Integra's sporty handling is a sophisticated double wishbone. suspension, variable power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering and fade-resistant four-wheel disc brakes. To help the driver retain steering control during maximuin braking, all Integra models feature a four-wheel Antilock Braking System (ABS) as standard equipment.

To help ensure the safety of its occupants, all Integras feature a rigid unit-body structure with front and rear crumple zones, side impact door beams and pads, dual airbags and 5-mph front and rear bumpers.

New exterior color for 1999 include Clover Green, available on the LS and GS models, while Taffeta White is now available on the LS and GS-R models.

Like all Acura models, the Integras are covered by a comprehensive 4-year/50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty. Additional ownership benefits include Acura Total Luxury Care (TLC), which provides free 24-hour roadside assistance, concierge service and trip routing.
