2004 Honda Accord Sedan Takes Top Honors In The Edmunds.com Family Sedan Comparison Test

The 2004 Honda Accord Sedan was chosen as the best family sedan, beating out nine other competitors, in a comprehensive comparison test by the editors of Edmunds.com, a top online source for vehicle information.

Edmunds.com editors gave the Accord high marks for interior material and build quality, along with ride comfort, interior space and drivetrain refinement. The testing involved a 23-point evaluation to determine the overall leaders in areas such as performance, features and value.

"The editors of Edmunds have done their homework and found the Accord to be the best of the best in its class," said Karl Brauer, editor-in-chief of Edmunds.com. "While other vehicles may do one or two things well, it's the Accord's ability to excel in so many areas that ultimately put it at the top of our ratings."

"The Accord continues to win accolades as the benchmark for all vehicles in its class," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "With class-leading performance, features and value, and the lowest ownership cost in its class, the Accord is clearly the smart buy."
