The 2023 Honda Civic and Odyssey have won U.S. News & World Report "Best Car for the Money" awards in the magazine's 2023 new car rankings.  The Civic captured the award for compact cars, while the Odyssey earned the award for the minivan class.

What U.S. News & World Report Said About the Honda Civic:
"We're proud to give the Honda Civic its second consecutive Best Car for the Money award, and the data makes it easy to see why the Civic is our top pick," said Jim Sharifi, managing editor of U.S. News Best Cars. "The recently redesigned Civic earns a top spot in our rankings and delivers one of the lowest ownership costs in its class. Great gas mileage helps keep fuel costs in check and the Civic comes with plenty of standard technology features. Controlled handling also makes it a small car that's fun to drive."

What U.S. News & World Report Said About the Honda Odyssey:
"Honda has a clear winner with the 2023 Odyssey, which takes home the Best Minivan for the Money award for the third year in a row and the seventh time overall," said Jim Sharifi, managing editor of U.S. News Best Cars. "The Odyssey has a competitive base price and earns a top position in our minivan rankings. It also delivers plenty of space, intuitive technology features and a smooth, comfortable ride."

The "Best Cars for the Money" awards methodology combines measures of quality and value to create an overall award score. Quality is measured by the overall score a vehicle achieved in the U.S. News car rankings at the time the awards are published. The rankings, updated monthly at www.usnews.com/cars, compare cars based on safety, reliability and a consensus of industry experts' opinions. Value is measured by a combination of a vehicle's five-year total cost of ownership and the average price paid for the vehicle at the time the awards are published.
