Eric Walli is an assistant vice president and the division manager of Regional Planning for American Honda Motor Co., Inc., (AHM) with responsibility for long-term strategy development and sustainability for Honda’s North American operations.

Walli began his career at Honda in 1995 as an engineer at Honda Engineering North America, Inc., working in the area of electrical design of weld and stamping equipment for auto production. He was promoted to engineering coordinator in 1998.

In 2002, Walli became senior staff engineer in Strategic Planning at Honda of America Mfg., Inc., where he was responsible for analyzing and measuring manufacturing metrics throughout Honda’s North American automobile production facilities.

In 2004, Walli was promoted to assistant manager of Strategic Planning for Honda’s stamped and injected parts business for North American automobile production.

In 2007, Walli became manager of Production Planning, responsible for automobile production allocation for Honda auto plants in North America. In this role, he led the development of the company’s regional production technology strategy, fostering collaboration across manufacturing, design and purchasing.

In 2010, Walli became a senior staff engineer and strategic planning leader of the North America Engineering Center, leading development of regional auto production strategy.

In 2014, Walli was promoted to Strategic Engineering department manager, leading establishment of the department responsible for research and innovation of Honda manufacturing facilities in North America.

In 2015, he became strategic planning leader for Honda in North America, leading creation of Honda’s regional corporate vision, becoming associate chief advisor in 2017.

In 2018, Walli became division manager of Regional Planning for North America, leading strategy development and assuming the role of sustainability project leader.

In 2021, following a corporate restructuring, Walli assumed his current role as assistant vice president and division manager of Regional Planning at AHM, continuing to lead strategy and sustainability across all Honda operations in North America.

Walli serves on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition, as well as the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce, leading as Vice Chair of Economic Development.

Walli earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at The Ohio State University, as well as a master’s in business administration from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.
