Clinton Blair is the senior manager of Government & Industry Relations for American Honda Motor Co., Inc., (AHM) leading the company’s legislative affairs, advocacy, and public policy efforts for state and federal matters.

Blair joined Honda in 2021. In his role, Blair also serves as a top Honda liaison to Congress and is Honda’s leading representative to the company’s major trade associations, including the Alliance for Automotive Innovation and Autos Drive America.

Blair’s career in the auto industry began in 2005 as Senior Director of Federal Affairs at the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. In 2009, he became vice president of Government Affairs for a luxury automaker.

Prior to joining Honda, from 2017 to 2021, Blair served as Vice President of Public Policy & Government Affairs at the Global Business Alliance, a Washington, D.C.-based trade association that actively promotes and defends an open economy that welcomes international companies to invest in America.

Blair also has 10 years of experience working on Capitol Hill in the U.S. House of Representatives. 

Blair has a B.S. in Public Administration from Harding University in Arkansas and an M.B.A. from American University in Washington, D.C.
