Once again Honda has ranked high among the "Greenest Vehicles"
according to the "Green Guide to Cars & Trucks" annual report.
Three of Honda's products were ranked on "The 12 Greenest Vehicles in
1999," more than any other automobile manufacturer.
Honda's dedicated natural gas-powered Civic GX received a superior rating, as did the EV PLUS electric vehicle. The Civic CX, DX, LX and EX manual transmission models received an above average rating on the top 12 list.
The publication creates a "Green Score" for each vehicle based on official emissions and fuel-economy test results and other specifications reported by auto manufacturers.
