Darin Vojin is the vice president and operations lead of the Power Unit Operations (PUO) of Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC (HDMA), with responsibility for overall manufacturing operations at the Anna Engine Plant in Ohio, Honda transmission plants in Georgia and Ohio, and the powertrain quality and delivery teams.

Vojin joined Honda in 1994 as an engineering student on a 16-month internship at Honda of Canada Mfg. (HCM), becoming a full-time Honda engineer in 1996.

In 1997, Vojin became a project leader of the Welding Department, where he served on a global project team responsible for the planning, engineering and start-up of the so-called "Maple Project" – the establishment of a second Honda manufacturing plant in Canada (HCM Plant 2), as well as the development and introduction of the first Honda light truck model, the 1999 Honda Odyssey for the North American market.

From 1998 to 2006, Vojin held various leadership roles in the Weld and Frame Assembly Departments at HCM Plant 2.

In 2006, Vojin transferred to the Indiana Auto Plant in Greensburg, Indiana, where he was part of the project team that was responsible for the construction, manufacturing planning, engineering, and start-up of mass production.

In 2009, Vojin returned to HCM to lead Final Assembly on Line 1 (now known as Plant 1), before serving as division manager of the Body Division, responsible for the Weld Department, Stamping and Central Stores.

In 2012, he became plant manager of HCM Plant 2. While at HCM, Plant 2 transitioned from launching and producing multiple light truck models to production of mid-size crossovers (CR-V).

In 2017, Vojin became vice president of Honda Engineering North America, Inc. (EGA) in Marysville, Ohio, Honda's in-house production engineering company. He helped lead EGA (which is now part of HDMA) with responsibility for North American production engineering functions in new model, innovation, business plan and strategic areas.

In 2019, Vojin took on the role as the North American strategy head of the Production Supervisory Unit in Tochigi, Japan, where he worked with a global team responsible for strategic planning and deployment of key initiatives.

In 2021, Vojin returned to HCM as part of the company's leadership team, with responsibility for company risk management, business planning and long-term strategic planning.

In 2022, Vojin became the overall project leader responsible for establishing a joint venture between Honda and LG Energy Solution for production of EV batteries in Jeffersonville, Ohio. His role included overseeing the start of construction of the new EV battery production facility.

In April 2024, Vojin assumed his current role as vice president of HDMA and operations lead for Power Unit Operations.  

Vojin earned a B.E.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Manufacturing from the University of Western Ontario located in Ontario, Canada.
