American Honda Launches Redesigned Media Newsroom

Major redesign of company news site makes it faster and easier to use, with enhanced searchability and “One-Stop Shopping” for model press kit materials

American Honda has launched a newly redesigned Media Newsroom (www.hondanews.com and www.acuranews.com), serving nine divisions in the U.S. including Honda Autos, Acura, Honda Racing, Powersports, Power Equipment, Honda Engines, Honda Marine, HondaJet and Honda Corporate. The substantially reworked media site combines faster operation with simplified access to product and company news, information and assets, all with the goal of making life easier for working media.

Fresh Face
The new site presents a clean, fresh user interface, with a more mobile-friendly menu structure and a unique page design for the Acura division. New social media portals on the overall and Acura home pages feature content updated daily. Newsfeed views are switchable between list and tile views on most home pages, and news items can be downloaded directly from the newsfeeds.

New Speed
Photo and video previews are dramatically faster while more easily navigated and downloaded. Content is easily shared via popular social media icons attached to each release and asset. Powerful new search tools allow users to quickly search the entire site, specify windows of time down to exact dates, and view results according to relevance or chronological order.

Logical Grouping, Easier Navigation
Individual model landing pages now feature tabs for related releases, specs & features, pricing & EPA data, photos, videos and press kits. New press kit pages feature similar tabs plus links to download individual or groups of related assets, making them a “one-stop shopping” solution. Press kit pages also gain a new “floating” table of contents that is always in view, making it much faster to navigate to desired sections.
