GREENSBURG, Ind. (Oct. 9, 2008) - Honda Manufacturing of Indiana, LLC (HMIN) associates applaud the manufacturing start of the Honda Civic on Thursday at the new Greensburg plant. HMIN president Yuzo Uenohara (foreground) congratulates Honda associate Eugenia Olson of Milroy, Ind. after Olson drove the first mass production Civic - a four-door, crystal black pearl sedan off the assembly line at 7:50 a.m. The $550 million Indiana facility will ultimately produce 200,000 vehicles, and employ 2,000 associates at full capacity. It will help to boost Honda's total North American automobile production capacity from 1.42 million units to more than 1.62 million.
