The Honda ProZision™ battery-powered zero turn radius (ZTR) lawn mower lineup includes two models—the HZ54SXB and HZ60SXB—purpose-built to enhance efficiency for lawn care and landscape maintenance companies. Both all-new ZTR lawn mowers offer an eco-conscious solution for professional, best-in-class cut quality, maximum comfort, trusted durability and reliability—all with quiet operation zero emissions.
Honda ProZision™ ZTR lawn mowers embody an advanced design and share a broad range of innovative features and benefits—the two models differing only slightly regarding cutting width, cutting blade speeds/length, mowed acreage, estimated runtimes, and weight. Both ZTRs combine easy handling with enhanced ergonomics, providing operators with the best, most comfortable driving experience while delivering premium mowing performance.
Best-in-class Cut Quality
Cutting performance is at the heart of the ProZision™ battery-powered ZTR lawn mower design. From advanced blade geometry to optimized deck housings, every detail is engineered to achieve a smooth, uniform finish while reducing clumping and ensuring efficiency in demanding conditions. With no need to mow twice or add a mulching kit, a clean, beautiful cut keeps turf looking its best and customers fully satisfied.
- Two deck sizes with an optimized design give owners the flexibility to choose the right fit for their work: the HZ54SXB has a cutting width of 54 inches and the HZ60SXB offers a cutting width of 60 inches.
- Three pairs of Honda-exclusive, stacked and offset MicroCut® Twin Blades with 12 total cutting edges (per revolution) provide superior cut quality and finer clippings for a high level of grass shredding without clumping and with no extra mulching kit required.
- The two models feature two different blade lengths: the HZ54SXB is equipped with a 19" MicroCut® Twin Blade, and the HZ60SXB features a 21" MicroCut® Twin Blade.
- Depending on the cutting conditions, the operator can select between two different blade speed options using the mower's on-board switch. The HZ54SXB blade speeds range from 2,600 rpm for the low setting, and 2,750 rpm for the high setting; the HX60SXB blade speeds span 2,876 rpm for the low setting, and 3,042 rpm for the high setting.
- Side discharge cleanly disperses the fine clippings.
- ProZision™ ZTR wheels provide enhanced maneuverability and stability:
- Caster type, offset wheels are positioned to avoid pressing grass flat ahead of the blades, helping ensure a clean, even cut without uncut streaks.
- Anti-scalp wheels on the center and side of the cutter deck help prevent the deck from bottoming out and damaging turf when crossing mounds or dips.
Battery Power & Charging
Honda ProZision™ ZTR lawn mowers are built for uninterrupted performance and dependable operation, giving operators the confidence to tackle large mowing jobs efficiently. The battery and motor system are engineered for steady, consistent power and long runtimes, while service-friendly design and flexible charging options help keep the mower ready for work when needed most.
- Honda ProZision™ lawn mowers are powered by five 48-volt brushless electric motors designed to stand up to the rigors of commercial landscaping: three deck motors rotate the exclusive MicroCut® Twin Blades and two drive wheel motors maneuver the vehicle with precise control.
- The motors and charging system are fitted with electrical quick connectors for fast and easy connection and disconnection for service.
- Six 48-volt lithium-ion battery packs combine to deliver 19.2kWh of energy, offering steady, robust and consistent power throughout the operating cycle, ensuring long performance in a variety of conditions; a rugged steel battery tray further protects against vibration and helps ensure longer battery life.
- Each battery contains its own Battery Management System (BMS), which protects and creates the longest battery life possible. Self-balancing keeps cells at the same voltage for safety, longer runtime, and longevity.
- A BUS bar connects all batteries, enabling them to work as one battery. This enhances the ability to balance voltage between batteries and maximizes the entire system.
- HZ54SXB batteries can power up to 14 acres of mowing on a single charge while the HZ60SXB batteries offer power for up to 15 acres on a single charge (based on low blade speed, depending on load and mowing conditions).
- The built-in charging system, designed to auto-detect the input voltage, is adaptable for 120 or 240-volt charging.
- The battery pack can be fully charged at 120 volts in approximately 16.5 hours and quick-charged at 240 volts in 6.5 hours; individual batteries can be swapped out easily without replacing the entire pack.
User Experience, Comfortable Operation
Designed with the operator in mind, ProZision™ mowers combine intuitive controls, ergonomic seating, and advanced handling systems to make mowing easier and more comfortable. Thoughtful design features reduce fatigue, enhance maneuverability, and allow operators of all sizes to work efficiently, whether navigating large open landscapes or tight areas.
- The all-new Honda ProZision™ ZTRs include a 4.3-inch touch-control display screen that is easy-to-read, even in bright sunlight.
- Three different driving modes (Rapid, Normal, and Precise) allow the operator to control mower speed for optimal maneuverability on a variety of turf conditions.
- Rapid: offers the most sensitive controls and enables maximum ground speed; this setting should be used only for large, smooth mowing areas with minimal bumps.
- Normal: appropriate for most mowing conditions; operation levers are less sensitive than the Rapid profile—providing additional control while still allowing for maximum ground speed.
- Precise: ideal for smaller mowing areas or those that require tight turns when maneuvering around flower beds or other obstacles; the mower's maximum speed is reduced in this profile to provide additional control when the operation levers are moved fully forward or backward.
- The ZTRs feature forward speeds of 0 mph-10 mph and reverse speeds of 0 mph-5 mph—sufficient power to mow at higher speeds while still achieving superior cut quality.
- Full mower suspension with a mechanical suspension seat, front suspension with torsional damping, and independent rear suspension with dual trailing arms, all serve to reduce vibration for a smooth ride and minimize driver fatigue.
- Footrest position, handle grips, and location of controls are similar to layouts of traditional ZTRs, for an easy and comfortable transition.
- The Honda industry-exclusive Ideal Operator Position System (IOPS) allows the operator to adjust seat position, drive controls, and handles together in one easy movement. Drive controls move with the seat, adjusting to comfortably fit drivers of varying heights.
- Using one foot pedal, the operator can raise and lower the deck, hands-free.
- The driver also can use the cut height dial to choose from 15 cut height settings, ranging between 1.5 inches to 5.0 inches, offering maximum flexibility for any turf and growing conditions.
- Safety features include a mechanically actuated, electro-magnetically released parking brake that automatically engages when the control levers are apart and releases as they are pulled together for operation.
- The low center of gravity for both Honda ZTR models also increases traction and overall stability, especially on slopes, and ditch navigation is made easy because of the ground clearance and bumper overhang design.
Rugged Performance, Durability & Reliability
Built to withstand the demands of commercial landscaping, Honda ProZision™ battery-powered ZTR lawn mowers combine sturdy construction with precision engineering for long-lasting performance. Every component is designed to endure tough conditions, minimize wear, and provide dependable operation, giving operators confidence in both daily use and extended service life.
- The gross weight of each rugged Honda ZTR differs only by approximately 20 pounds, the HZ54SXB weighing in at 1,338 lbs. and the HZ60SXB at 1,356 lbs.
- The chassis and main components of both models are constructed from durable steel, with high-strength, low-alloy (HSLA) steel strategically used in key areas to provide strength while minimizing unnecessary weight. A powder-coated finish protects against corrosion and wear in demanding conditions.
- The frame's rigid design and low vibration enhance overall durability and help extend the life of key components—especially the mower's electrical systems.
- The all-new Honda ProZision™ battery-powered ZTR lawn mowers include a full commercial limited warranty for up to three years or 2,000 hours (whichever comes first).
- Both ZTR models are produced at the Honda manufacturing facility in Swepsonville, North Carolina, using globally made parts; mowers are expected to be available for sale in February 2026.
