Honda Power Equipment Wins Prestigious Marketing Award

The all-new Honda HRX Lawnmower recently earned Honda Power Equipment a 2004 Marketing Award for Excellence, or MAX award, from Georgia State University's J. Mack Robinson College of Business and the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The HRX and the marketing campaign orchestrated to support its launch were recognized for creativity and innovation, and Honda was one of three winners among 39 entries.

The annual MAX awards represent the best in innovation, marketing, and success for new products and services developed in Georgia as judged by the Georgia State University Marketing RoundTable. The RoundTable consists of 24 business leaders from prominent Georgia-based companies, and winners were announced in the February 27th edition of the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Judges reviewed information on the HRX itself, in addition to information on product positioning, advertising, promotional and PR material, and overall launch strategy.

"The unique and innovative design of the HRX gave us the opportunity to employ some creative marketing initiatives that we have not been able to use in the past," said Kris Delaney of Honda Power Equipment Product Planning and Marketing. "It is an honor to be recognized for our efforts."

Other 2004 MAX award entrants included Bell South, Delta Airlines, UPS, Active8Media, Georgia-Pacific, and Roper Industries, while other winners included Interface Inc., and another submission from Georgia-Pacific.
