Honda Introduces Its Most Rugged and Easy to Use Commercial Tiller

Honda Power Equipment's introduction of its FRC800 tiller has enhanced the company's position in the growing rental and commercial markets.

FRC800 tillers are available at Honda Power Equipment dealers and rental agencies nationally, with a suggested retail price of $1,999.

"Our goal was to simplify controls as much as possible, which is of paramount importance for rental applications," said Rock Reed, Honda Power Equipment product planning and marketing manager. "Our newest tiller also needed to meet the intense durability requirements of commercial and rental customers. The FRC800 accomplishes both of these objectives."

The FRC800's tine housing and debris flap thickness has been increased by 25 percent over the FR800, and it receives a heavy-duty shift lever mechanism mated to an all-new heavy-duty transmission. A front bumper is used to protect the engine, starter and belt cover to resist the wear-and-tear that comes from frequent trailer loading and unloading, and provides tie-down points for transport. Additionally, the FRC800 employs heavy-duty tines, drag bar, and handlebar.

Ease of use is enhanced through a simplified tine engagement lockout system, and a low center of gravity. Large-diameter 14-inch tires allow for smoother operation, while an overall weight of 275 pounds provides excellent traction without the need for wheel weights.

The FRC800 is powered by Honda's commercial grade GX240 eight horsepower engine known for its dependability, reliability, and ease of starting. Engine maintenance intervals are lengthened through the use of a unique Cyclone air filter that provides for a 600 percent service interval increase over conventional filters.

Honda Power Equipment offers a complete line of mini, mid-tine, and rear-tine tillers for a variety of residential, commercial, and rental applications. In keeping with Honda's tradition of technological and environmental leadership, all of its tillers feature advanced four-stroke engines that offer quiet operation, low emissions, and unparalleled fuel economy.
