Honda Snow Blowers

Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of snow blowers for commercial and consumer applications. The comprehensive product line consists of 12 models in five separate series, capable of clearing from 46.3 tons to 91.0 tons of snow per hour. All models except the lightweight HS720 Series, the newest snow blowers to join the Honda lineup, are available with high-traction dual-track drive.

Honda snow blowers, like all Honda products, offer low emissions through the use of advanced four-stroke engine technology. The compact HS720 features an overhead cam (OHC) engine, while other models are powered by overhead valve (OHV) engines. Automatic decompression is standard in all engines to ensure easy and reliable starting, even in extreme winter weather.

Honda Advanced Engineering

Honda snow blowers maintain the same standards of superior design, reliability, and quality of construction that customers have come to expect from the Honda brand. All models are designed and tested for ease of operation, even in arctic-like conditions and while the operator is wearing heavy gloves or mitts. They are constructed with plated fasteners and finished with extra-durable paint to ensure many years of service in extreme environments.

The larger Honda snow blowers employ a two-stage snow removal system with specially designed, heavy-duty, height-adjustable serrated augers to remove even the icy snow buildup often left by municipal snow plows. These models also offer single-lever hydrostatic transmissions that accurately adjust ground speed without affecting auger rotation speed. A single control panel operates the transmission, throttle and chute for simplified operation.

Product Line

Honda produces 12 snow blower models in five series: HS720AA; HS720AM; HS720AS; HS724TA; HS724WA; HS928TA; HS928TAS; HS928WA; HS928WAS; HS1332TA; HS1332TAS; and HS1336iAS. The AS models incorporate electric start.

Lightweight HS720

The Honda HS720 entry-level snow blowers provide excellent snow throwing performance and convenient operation in a compact package for both homeowners and commercial users. Powered by a lightweight OHC Honda GC190 engine, the HS720 series delivers excellent fuel economy with optimal power output. The GC190 premium residential engine maintains its reputation as a quiet, easy starting, and durable engine within the HS720, even in the most frigid conditions. The new HS720AS model adds an easy to use electric start with a 120 volt AC electric starter.

Despite its relatively small size, the HS720 can clear up to 55 tons of snow per hour, discharging that snow up to 33 feet away. Large volumes of snow are no problem, as the HS720 clears a 20 inch width easily at heights of 12 feet. In addition, the standard semi self-propelled Auger Assist feature makes quick work of snow removal by aiding in propulsion when needed. In addition, the Honda dual operator area control easily adjusts the distance and direction snow can be discharged, for the ultimate in control. The 220-degree quick chute feature also allows the user to quickly change the direction of thrown snow with the slide of a lever for better snow throwing.

Mid-Sized HS724

Honda's lightest two-stage snow blower offers a 24-inch clearing width, a hydrostatic infinitely variable drive mechanism, and an OHV engine that delivers 30 percent better fuel economy than typical side-valve engines. Like all of Honda's larger models, it features a remote control discharge chute with 210 degrees of horizontal and 70 degrees of vertical range and an easy to operate control panel. The HS724 is available in either wheel self-propelled or dual-track drive models. The wheel-driven HS724WA clears up to 51.0 tons per hour; the dual-track HS724TA clears up to 46.0 tons per hour. Both models discharge snow up to 46 feet and are ideal for residential or commercial applications.

New HS928 Series and HS1332 Series

Powered by a newly designed, high-torque Honda GX270 overhead valve (OHV) engine, the HS928 Series is intended for aggressive snow clearing in demanding environments and is available in both wheel-driven (HS928WA and HS928WAS) and dual-track, self-propelled models (HS928TA and HS928TAS). Its newly enhanced design enables a 28-inch clearing width and a discharge distance of up to 49 feet. The new HS928 also offers a choice of manual or electric starting.

The Honda solution for maximum capability in a walk-behind machine is the HS1332, clearing a 32-inch swath with its commercial grade GX390 Honda four-stroke engine. The track-driven HS1332 can move 72 tons per hour at a discharge distance of up to 56 feet. Like the HS928, the HS1332 is available in both easy-starting manual or electric starter-equipped models. In both new product families, the models have improved performance over the models they replace, are eco-conscious, and are tough performers in the most extreme of environments.

New HS1336i Hybrid Snow blower

In 2011, Honda introduced the new HS1336i snow blower – the first Honda hybrid snow blower design available for the U.S. market. The hybrid configuration of the HS1336i model combines a gasoline engine that simultaneously drives the snow blower auger/fan apparatus (clearing and throwing the snow) and charges the battery, with the electric motors (two in parallel) controlling the track drive forward propulsion.

Equipped with the Honda iGX390 four-stroke engine that provides premium power, low fuel consumption and emissions, the HS1336i snowblower also boasts superior control/ease-of-use; powerful operation/snow throwing; lower noise and vibration; reliable operation; and enhanced technology. A summary of HS1336i snow blowerfeatures includes:

  • Reversible 2-position skid shoes
  • Self-propelled, infinitely variable electric drive
