American Honda today announced its full roster of supported riders for the 2026 Women's Motocross Championship (WMX), with four athletes representing three Honda-affiliated teams across the six-round series that kicks off today at the Hangtown Motocross Classic.
Charli Cannon returns to the WMX gate aboard her CRF250RWE as part of the Quad Lock Honda Racing team. The Australian put together a standout 2025 campaign highlighted by a strong runner-up result in the championship standings, and she is one of the field's top contenders.
Californian Mikayla Nielsen is back for a third consecutive season with SLR Honda, bringing a three-time AMA NGPC National Championship résumé and the versatility that makes her a threat for wins and podium finishes. SLR Honda also welcomes rising star Mayla Herrick to its lineup. A member of the victorious Team USA at the 2026 FIM Oceania Women's Motocross Cup this past March, the Colorado native has qualified to compete against the men in Schoolboy 2 at the Loretta Lynn's AMA Amateur National Championship this summer. She'll make her WMX debut at round 3 on her 17th birthday (the AMA's minimum age for professional racing).
Kyleigh Stallings joins Storm Lake Honda Buddy Brooks Racing following a notable off-season move. A four-time Loretta Lynn's Champion, the Oklahoman finished in the top five in all but one WMX moto last year and is yet another threat for Honda. Stallings will compete in the final three rounds of the series.
For 2026, WMX events will once again be held alongside selected rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross Championship. Whereas first motos will be contested on Fridays, second motos will take place on Saturdays and will be broadcast live on Peacock, elevating the series' profile and giving the athletes a prime national platform. Following this weekend's opener in Northern California, the series travels to Colorado, Pennsylvania, New York and Maryland, before concluding August 28 in Indiana. In another exciting new development, WMX will be showcased during the September 26 SMX World Championship Final in Ridgedale, Missouri.
