American Honda confirmed today that the Pioneer 520 and Pioneer 500 both return for the 2022 model year. The popular entry side-by-sides show that good things can come in small packages, as they're capable, fun, versatile machines that fit in the back of a full-size pickup. Both are offered in new colors for the new model year.
"Owners of Honda's smaller side-by-sides recognize the advantages of short wheelbases and low vehicle weights," said Brandon Wilson, Sports & Experiential Manager at American Honda. "The Pioneer 520 and Pioneer 500 offer nimble handling that makes them fun on the trail, but they're also surprisingly competent when it comes to performing tasks – and they're offered at very attractive retail prices."
PIONEER 520
Designed in Ohio and manufactured in South Carolina, the Honda Pioneer 520 side-by-side is fun, rugged and reliable. It's a useful tool on the ranch or farm, and also a fun machine on width-restricted trails that are normally the realm of ATVs. With an ideal mix of maneuverability and power, the Pioneer 520's suspension and 518cc engine ensure capability and comfort. A five-speed transmission with automatic and manual shifting modes helps users accomplish the tasks and challenges encountered on the job or trail. This side-by-side also features considerable cargo options for work or play, including a dump bed and compatibility with Honda Pro-Connect accessories.

PIONEER 500
Exploring the outdoors or getting the job done are both enjoyable with the Pioneer 500, thanks to its quality suspension, excellent fuel efficiency and compact size for width-restricted trails – plus a super-competitive retail price. The machine boasts a 1,000-pound towing capacity and a 450-pound rear-rack load limit. Riders can also choose from automatic or manual shifting of the five-speed gearbox. Plus, there's no need for a trailer for transport since this entry-level side-by-side fits in a full-size pickup-truck bed.
