Honda Red Riders Climb Podium at Anaheim One Supercross Opener

The Honda Red Riders made their debut in the 2010 Supercross, an FIM World Championship season at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA on Saturday, January 9, and Honda Red Bull Racing riders Andrew Short and Davi Millsaps were right in the thick of competition aboard their Honda CRF450R® race machines.

Millsaps led his heat race from start to finish and Short finished second in his heat race. In the main, Short battled with fellow GEICO Powersports Honda racer Kevin Windham, who eventually made the pass to finish in third while Short finished just shy of the podium in fourth. Millsaps was hindered in the main event after tangling with another rider on the opening lap and was forced to settle for ninth overall.

In the Supercross Lites West competition, GEICO Powersports Honda’s Trey Canard finished off a fine night with second place aboard his Honda CRF250R®. Teammate Blake Wharton was just shy of joining Canard on the podium, securing fourth place. Troy Lee Designs Honda’s Wil Hahn fared well in his first outing on his CRF250R, finishing in fifth.
