Honda Launches Owner Link Service

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. today launched its new Internet relationship management initiative, Owner Link, giving Honda and Acura automobile owners instant access to a wide range of services including product information, personalized vehicle service reminders and VIN-specific service and recall information. Customers can sign up for their personal page at the dealership when they purchase or service their vehicles or at any time through the Honda.com and Acura.com Web sites.

When they register for Owner Link, Honda and Acura owners receive a personal Web page for their vehicle that can be accessed through the Honda brand Web sites. New owners and those who take their cars to a Honda or Acura dealership to be serviced will receive a PIN number in the mail that will give them online access to their specific service records and e-mailed service reminders for that vehicle. Currently, the program includes automobiles, but in the future will expand to include Honda motorcycles, power equipment and marine product offerings.

Honda and Acura owners can also access a wide array of additional information through Owner Link including:

  • VIN-specific recall notices and completion status
  • Model information and specifications
  • Vehicle FAQs
  • Maintenance recommendations
  • Dealership contact information
  • Vehicle care tips and information
  • Roadside and operation tips
  • Safety information
  • Links to Honda and Acura shopping and brand Web sites
  • Kelley Blue Book trade-in values
  • Warranty information
  • Online help/site FAQs
  • Online maintenance schedule

"Owner Link will be a very useful resource for our Honda and Acura customers," said Steven Center, assistant vice president, e-Business division. "By having important information like service records, product updates and model-specific information easily accessible to our customers, we can make it easier for them to maintain their vehicles and enhance their overall ownership experience."
