- Despite low inventories of 16-17 days for key models, American Honda (AHM) sales reached 1,149,261 units in the first nine months of 2026, +4.7% year-to-date, driven by strong September sales of 121,796 units (+15.9%) and 392,341 in Q3 (+9.3%).
- American Honda passenger cars delivered the best September (+14.8%) since 2023 and best Q3 (+18.4%) since 2020.
- Honda brand sales are up 4.7% year-to-date, topping the 1 million mark in September (1,045,593), one month earlier than in 2025. September sales were up 17.1% (111,661 units) and Q3 sales up 9.3%, thanks to strong passenger car sales and a record performance from hybrid models.
- Acura brand sales are up 4.4% year-to-date, growing 4.4% in September and 9.9% in Q3, surpassing the 100,000 unit mark one month earlier than in 2025, led by strong sales of gateway models and SUVs. Acura SUV sales in Q3 were up 17.9% – the best Q3 performance since 2023.

Sales Highlights
- Honda sales grew 17.1% in September, 9.3% in Q3 and 4.7% YTD despite low inventories. Honda hybrid models established a new Q3 record while passenger cars posted big gains in September (+18.4%) and Q3 (+20.9%).
- CR-V overcame very low supply of 17 days, to post record Q3 (+16.6% on 110,730 units) and record September sales (+21.9% on 34,788 units). CR-V hybrid models, representing 53% of sales mix, achieved a best Q3 (59,668) and September (18,521).
- Passport maintained momentum, with 19.5% growth in September and 14.1% YTD, marking its best quarter ever (+17.9%) with rugged TrailSport trims accounting for over 80% of Passport sales; while Pilot was up +8.8% in September (9,481).
- Light truck sales marked an all-time best September (+16.5%), with sales of 76,997 units, and best Q3 (+4.3%) with double-digit gains from Odyssey (+66.4%) and Ridgeline (+24.4%) making big September sales contributions.
- HR-V also saw double digit growth in September (+14.5%), with 12,445 units contributing to a new Q3 sales record despite low inventory.
- Honda passenger car sales are up 16.5% YTD after an 18.4% gain in September, and 20.9% in Q3, marking a best Q3 since 2020.
- Civic sales totaled 17,724 units (+8.4%), with Civic hybrid accounting for 35% of sales mix, while Accord sales of 16,507 units were +27.7% in September, and +32.7% YTD. In Q3, Accord hybrid trims represented 44% of sales mix.
Sales Highlights
- Acura sales increased 4.4% on September sales of 10,135 units, representing the best September and Q3 since 2023. Gateway models ADX and Integra combined for Q3 sales growth of 24% with over 14,600 units.
- ADX premium gateway crossover reached 25,211 units year-to-date, posting Q3 growth of 22% and September sales of 2,701 units (+20.9%). ADX continues to lead its segment with around 30% of retail sales.
- Despite very low inventory, Integra continued its sales momentum, posting growth of 37.3% YTD and 27.5% in Q3 to top 20,000 units YTD. Integra maintains a significant lead in its segment with around 40% of retail sales.
- Acura SUVs posted double-digit growth in September (+15.5%) and Q3 (+17.9%), led by the Acura MDX with its seventh consecutive month over 4,000 units — up 63.4% in September, 63.5% in Q3 and 25.2% YTD.
