Honda Rearview Report: September 26 - October 2, 2015

"We began the year at the North American International Auto Show heralding 2015 as the "Year of Honda." It wasn't just a big brag, but a statement about the number of pinnacle technologies and new mass market products we are bringing to market at a time when the automotive industry is at its competitive best, with customers having more and better choices than perhaps at any other time in its history. So, we're very honored that three new Honda vehicles – the Pilot SUV, HR-V crossover and soon-to-be-launched 10th-generation Civic Sedan – are among the semifinalists for the 2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year (NACOY) awards.

During the past year, we have maintained a steady pace of new and significantly refreshed product launches with a sharper focus on core Honda strengths in powertrain innovation, packaging expertise and advanced safety performance. As a result, we're once again asserting Honda's fun-to-drive spirit, even as we advance our leadership position in safety and fuel efficiency.

But the reality is that this "Year of Honda" doesn't have an end point, as our pace over the next year will remain very strong – with a new Ridgeline truck, Odyssey minivan and new Honda fuel cell vehicle, and more still to come. We want to thank all of the NACOY jurors for having our products on the "short list" and we look forward to continued good things for the remainder of 2015 and beyond."
