"As our dedicated team of associates in Indiana celebrates our fifth anniversary, we are taking an opportunity both to reflect upon the incredible achievements we have accomplished in a very short period of time, and to look toward our future dreams in manufacturing.
With the strong support of the community in Indiana we have taken on a number of big challenges, including the launch of three advanced technology environmental vehicles in the Civic Hybrid, Civic Natural Gas, and the Acura ILX Hybrid, we also earned a top Platinum award in the J.D. Power and Associates Initial Quality Study, and have began exporting quality products made in Indiana to new customers around the world.
As we look to our next challenges, we will continue to provide our associates with the opportunity to develop the skills, processes and technologies needed to achieve the highest levels of quality and efficiency. So, as proud as I am of what our associates have accomplished in our first five years, I'm even more pleased with how they are embracing the future, as we work to meet the needs of our customers here in America and around the world."
