American Honda Advances Sales Momentum with Strong September and 3rd Quarter Sales Results

  • American Honda total sales over 115,000 units, up 45.5% in September and 52.7% in Q3, despite supply constraints for some models
  • Honda brand sales are up 44.4% to over 102,000 in September, and up 51% in 3Q (302,250) with turn rates over 70%

Sales Highlights

Honda brand 2023 Q3 sales (302,250) top 2022 Q3 (200,258) by over 100,000 units, led by increases for CR-V (+36,569) Civic (+26,976) and Accord (+22,316).  

  • Civic posts best sales month of 2023 (18,696).
  • HR-V has best month (12,801) since April 2022 as supply improves
  • Demand remains strong for light trucks despite supply and logistics issues constraining September sales for Pilot, Passport, Ridgeline and Odyssey

2024 Honda Prologue will arrive early next year as the brand’s first all-electric SUV, offering estimate EPA range rating of 300 miles.

Sales Highlights

Acura September sales topped 12,000 units for the 7th straight month led by balanced results for cars and SUVs.

  • Integra sales top 24,000 units in first 9 months with nearly three times the retail sales of nearest competitor.
  • TLX nine month sales (13,573) best 2022 annual results, with Type S model representing 33% of TLX sales.
  • MDX and RDX have topped 8,000 in sales in six of the past seven months, MDX tops 4,000 units for 12 straight months.
