2005 Honda Accord Adds Equipment and Value

A perennial favorite of American car buyers and the widely recognized benchmark for premium mid-size passenger cars, the 2005 Honda Accord maintains its leadership position by adding selected new features including front side airbags and side curtain airbags for the first and second row in all Sedan and Coupe models.

" Although it is a difficult task to improve upon the award-winning Accord, the addition of these new key features should provide customers with even more of what they have come to expect from the Accord," said Tom Elliott, executive vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

The 2005 Accord Sedan has the following standard equipment:

  • Side curtain and front side airbags added to LX and DX trim levels
  • New wheel cover design for LX and EX trim levels
  • New coin pocket design
  • Improved rear-end styling through new taillight design
  • Illuminated steering controls

The 2005 Accord Coupe has the following standard equipment:

All trim levels of Accord will continue to offer standard dual stage, dual threshold front airbags, side curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, AM/FM stereo with CD Player, power locks and power windows. All EX models come equipped with a 6-disc CD changer, 16-inch alloy wheels and power moonroof.

A Factory Performance package that enhances the Accord V-6 Coupe's sports car demeanor will be available as a dealer-installed option. Factory Performance features include:
