Honda Dealerships Host Free Vehicle Inspections for Customer Appreciation Day

With more than 920 Honda dealerships participating across the United States, this year's Honda Customer Appreciation Day will reach more Honda vehicle owners than ever.

Kicking-off National Car Care Month, Honda's fourth annual Customer Appreciation Day will take place on Saturday, October 6th. Participating Honda dealerships will offer a 30-minute, 40-point inspection to all Honda vehicle owners at no expense. Honda-trained technicians will be on hand at all participating dealerships to perform vehicle assessments and Honda owners will receive a comprehensive report on their vehicles and professional instruction regarding future car maintenance and upkeep.

Many participating Honda dealerships are also providing Honda customers free car washes, oil-change coupons, refreshments, entertainment, raffle prizes and an assortment of family-oriented events.

Celebrated in October, National Car Care Month is conducted nationwide by businesses, civic groups and others to direct motorist awareness towards the maintenance and care of their vehicles. Taking place at the beginning of fall, National Car Care Month is the perfect time for drivers to prepare their vehicles for winter, a season when cars are put through the greatest amount of wear and tear to its exterior and under the hood. Honda informs drivers that good maintenance and care should be practiced on a regular basis throughout the year, no matter what season it is. National Car Care Month originated in Ohio as a state-wide program sponsored by Ohio's Department of Energy.

In 2000, more than 44,000 inspections took place at 880 dealerships with Car Care Clinics across the nation on Honda Customer Appreciation Day. For 2001, dealership participation has reached 92 percent of the total Honda dealership family, and the number of inspections is expected to increase by almost 20 percent to 50,000.
