Honda Honors North American Indirect Procurement Suppliers for Outstanding Support of Business and Production Operations

Honda today honored 32 suppliers that provide indirect products and services to Honda operations across the U.S., including Honda automobile manufacturing and powersports plants. The 32 companies receiving awards were selected from more than 6,000 North American indirect procurement suppliers that provide a wide variety of equipment, products and services that support Honda's U.S. business operations and the manufacturing of automobiles, engines, powersports products and transmissions in America.

The 32 suppliers were selected for achievements in the award category of Challenging Spirit. This award signifies their commitment to Honda's Challenging Spirit by going "above-and- beyond" expectations to ensure the success and/or delivery of a service, product or project. These exemplary honorees represent the extensive network of North American suppliers critical to Honda's U.S. business operations. In 2020, indirect purchasing for business and manufacturing operations across U.S. totaled $4.1 billion.

"The last 18 months have been a challenging time for Honda and our supplier network and we appreciate how our indirect suppliers were able to persevere to support our business operations across the U.S.," said Monica Oliverio, division lead, North American Indirect Procurement, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "We appreciate the challenging spirit of the companies earning awards and we thank all of our suppliers for helping us to meet the needs of our customers."

Many of the indirect suppliers providing equipment, products and services to Honda have grown along with Honda in the U.S. since the company began production in Ohio in 1979.
