Honda Civic Si Production to Pause at the Conclusion of the 2026 Model Year; Si Will Return to the Honda Lineup in the Coming Years

  • Dealer inventory expected to remain available into early 2027

Honda today announced production of the current Honda Civic Si will pause at the conclusion of the 2026 model year due to evolving business conditions. An all-new version of the Civic Si will return to the Honda lineup in the coming years.

Based on current forecasts, American Honda expects dealer inventory of the award-winning performance sedan to remain available into early 2027. This is the fourth time Honda has paused Civic Si production over the years, including 1988, 1996-1998 and most recently in 2021.

First introduced for the 1986 model year, the Honda Civic Si has long served as a performance icon in the Honda lineup and the sport compact segment, offering driving enthusiasts affordable high-performance.

Civic is the longest-running Honda automotive nameplate and America's best-selling compact car since 19731 with more than 13 million Civics sold. The award-winning 11th-generation Civic is a gateway to the Honda brand and America's most popular vehicle with Gen Z, first-time buyers and multicultural customers2.
