Alabama native and actor, producer Channing Tatum will ride in Honda's exhilarating "Fastest Seat in Sports" at the front of the pack for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, Sunday, April 22. Tatum will take a ride in a custom-built, Honda-powered two-seat Indy car on the track at Barber Motorsports Park, prior to the start of the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama, driven by Arie Luyendyk Jr. Tatum is also serving as the grand marshal for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.
Underway for a 9th consecutive year, in 2018, the "Fastest Seat in Sports" will give celebrities and notable influencers an opportunity to experience a Honda-powered two-seat Indy car throughout the racing season with racing legend Mario Andretti and Arie Luyendyk, Jr. taking turns behind the wheel.
Honda Motorsports heads to this weekend's Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama coming off a dominant victory by Alexander Rossi for Honda at the 2018 Long Beach Grand Prix, leading 71 of 85 laps and successfully fending off former series champion Will Power after a late-race caution bunched the field.
