Honda Rearview Report: February 11 - February 17, 2017

"This week, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana (HMIN) joined our factories in Ohio and Canada in building the all-new 2017 Honda CR-V, America's top-selling SUV over the past two decades. It's the first light-truck model we've built in Indiana and a further demonstration of our increasing production flexibility as our Indiana plant continues to produce the Honda Civic, the top retail-selling compact car in America.

With the addition of the CR-V to Indiana and the previously announced plan to shift production of the Acura MDX from Alabama to East Liberty, Ohio, this year, we are demonstrating our continued commitment to our customers and to flexible production that allows us to efficiently meet their changing needs.

Advancing flexibility, efficiency and quality for our Honda and Acura customers is at the center of our vision for our manufacturing operations. In the U.S. alone, we've undertaken investments of more than $3 billion over the past four years, virtually all of it aimed toward ensuring our plants continue to deliver world-class products that meet the needs of our customers locally and around the world.

So, congratulations to our team members in Indiana for the successful launch of CR-V and in recognition of their new status as makers of America's most popular compact car and SUV!"
