Mark Kohls is the vice president of Power Sports & Products of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (AHM), leading the company's U.S. business operations for Honda motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and side-by-side (SxS) vehicles, as well as power equipment and marine products.

Kohls began his career at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. (HRA) in 1999 and has contributed to the design of Honda's North American-developed power sports products for more than 20 years.

Joining the company as a chassis design engineer, Kohls was instrumental in chassis development for a number of iconic Honda power sports models, including the 2001 Gold Wing, 2003 Rancher ATV, and 2005 Recon. From 2003 to 2005, Kohls worked at the Honda R&D Asaka Center in Japan, as part of an overseas assignment program leading the development of the 2006 TRX90 ATV.

In 2007, Kohls assumed the role of development leader, where he led the creation of Honda ATVs, including the 2009 Rubicon and 2012 Foreman, as well as the popular 2015 Honda Pioneer 500.

In 2016, he was promoted to division director of Powersports Development, where he was responsible for managing power sports R&D operations in Ohio. In this role, he also supported the creation of Honda's SxS & ATV Business Committee which drove global ATV/SxS product strategy from North America.

Kohls moved into American Honda in 2020 as part of the creation of a new collaborative approach to the power sports business, working to unify power sports operations in North America by combining key development functions from Honda R&D, sales and manufacturing operations (Honda South Carolina Mfg.) into a single organization.

In January 2021, Kohls became assistant vice president of the Power Sports & Products Business Unit, and Business Planning Division lead. This additional restructuring combined Power Sports and Power Equipment operations into one business unit.

In April 2024, he was promoted to his current role of vice president of Power Sports & Products.

Kohls holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
