Kensuke Oe is the president and director of Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC (HDMA) and managing executive officer of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. As the manufacturing leader for North America, Oe is responsible for Honda auto manufacturing and development operations in the U.S. as well as manufacturing operations at Honda auto production plants in Canada and Mexico.
Oe joined Honda Motor Co., Ltd. in April 1990, and served in various roles including manufacturing, purchasing and R&D during his career.
In April 2018, he became the president of Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario, Canada.
In April 2020, Oe returned to Japan and was named an operating executive of Honda Motor Co., and general manager of the Saitama Factory Production Supervisory Unit, Automobile Operations of Honda Motor Co.
In April 2021, he was promoted to head of the Monozukuri Center Production Engineering Supervisory Unit, Automobile Operations of Honda Motor Co.
In April 2022, Oe was named a managing officer of Honda Motor Co., and head of the Production Unit, Automobile Operations of Honda Motor Co.
In April 2023, he was promoted to managing executive officer of Honda Motor Co.
In April 2024, Oe moved to the U.S. and assumed his current position as president and director of Honda Development & Manufacturing of America, LLC.
