Meet the New Residents of Honda Smart Home US
For the next year, three UC Davis graduate students will experience Honda’s vision for sustainable, zero-carbon living in the Honda Smart Home US. Located on the West Village campus of UC Davis, the home is capable of producing more energy on-site from renewable sources than it consumes annually, including enough energy to power a Honda Fit EV for daily commuting. As a result of the home's energy efficient design, the occupants will use about half as much energy of a similarly sized new home in the Davis area for heating, cooling and lighting.
