Honda has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the rupture of a Takata driver’s airbag inflator in a 2001 Honda Accord on June 18, 2016 at a private residence in Hialeah, Florida.
American Honda will voluntarily recall approximately 37,000 Accord 2-door models equipped with 4-cylinder engines from the 2003 model year to inspect and, if needed, replace the passenger front airbag inflator, free of charge.
